About The Role
The Surgical Services NUM1 role oversees the day-to-day running of the Operating Theatres, Recovery, Day Stay, In-patient ward – as well as Facility-wide responsibilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring Surgical Waitlist targets are met and ensuring access to the theatres to support the Maternal Services. Oversight and management of consumable ordering is essential for this role – as well as ensuring maintenance of equipment continues. This role is well supported by the Health Service Manager/ DOMN, Clinical Nurse Manager, SDH Management Team, HVS Quality Manager and members of the HNE Surgical Network. Following a thorough handover and orientation – ongoing education requirements will be negotiated through monthly accountability meetings and 90-day action plans.
