Job Description
Position Purpose: Responsible for all embryologist lab procedures concentrating on OPU oocyte searching.
Key Responsibilities
- Pouring Over OPU filters
- Oocyte searching
- Data Entry
- Assisting in the IVF lab with loading straws
- Stripping oocytes
- Follow Trans Ova’s policies and procedures
- Maintain a professional image reflective of TOG’s industry position
- Inventory Management
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Promote and adhere to safety in the workplace
Education Requirements
BS in Animal Science or a related field; or a Veterinary Technician degree.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
- Ability to sit for long periods of time behind a microscope.
- Good hand-eye coordination. Handling dexterity is required for manipulation of equipment and small objects.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, and peripheral vision, color/pattern recognition, depth perception, and ability to adjust to focus.
