FutureLife Romania is hiring a Financial Controller for its IVF and Genetics Lab segments. We are part of FutureLife Group, the 2nd European leader in reproductive medicine and women’s care. Currently, FutureLife Romania comprises Clinica Medicala Gynera, Clinica Gynatal and Cytogenomic Medical Laboratory.
What Part Will You Play?
You will join the Finance Team, actively involved in overseeing the financial performance of our expanding operations in Romania (2 IVF Clinics, 1 Genetics Lab). In this role, you will contribute to the clinics mission of delivering exceptional patient care by providing accurate financial insights and driving operational improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee accounting activities - key liasion with external accountants, reconciliations of accounts receivable and accounts payable, etc.
- Maintaining proper accounting controls for data accuracy and compliance with laws and regulations
- Involment in the monthly closing process - calculation of cost accruals, calculation of revenue accruals and deferrals, inventory balances, etc.
- Review accounting deliverables for accuracy before group reporting
- Collect and validate operational and commercial data/indicators for management reports
- Active participation in the preparation of the annual budget and interim reforecasts
- Participate in the preparation of monthly performance review meetings - monitor performance against budget and explain significant variances
- Researching and analyzing fluctuations in costs
- Compile specific or ad-hoc reports as required by the local and/or group management
- Actively participating in FutureLife Group projects with financial/accounting implications
- Supporting the preparation of documents/materials for Financial Audits
- Provide guidance to other departments on financial matters
- Participates in the annual stock count process
- Prepare statistical reports requested by relevant authorities (e.g. NBR)
What We Look For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
- Min. 3 years of experience in financial reporting/controlling and budgeting (experience in healthcare is an advantage).
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Fluency in English
- Strong analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams
