The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing support to the Practice Manager and Clinical Provider team within an assigned unit following established standards and practices.
- Provides day-to-day administrative support and completes duties needed to maintain efficiency in the office.
- Researches, compiles data, creates and edits high quality confidential documents such as letters, memos, reports, and presentations.
- Coordinates and manages schedules and business needs.
- Coordinates logistics for internal leadership and committee meetings including scheduling, drafting agendas and creating meeting materials.
- Initiates, completes applications, and maintains active hospital privileges for all applicable providers.
- Ensures timely renewal of provider licenses.
- Interacts and communicates effectively in written and verbal form with executives and all levels of employees within the organization.
- Prioritizes various assigned tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures while maintaining confidentiality.
- Demonstrates and embodies the Women’s Care mission and core values.
- Compliance with all HIPAA rules, regulations, and guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- HS Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of two years’ progressive experience working in a medical practice, preferably in OBGYN.
- Experience working with EMR systems with knowledge of functionality; eCW a plus.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical billing, and insurance reimbursement.
- Ability to provide critical thinking skills, solve problems and identify solutions.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong time management and prioritization skills.
- Displays a professional and positive outlook and manner.
- Must be dependable, reliable, and punctual.
- Ability to work cooperatively in group situations; offers assistance and support to coworkers, inspires trust of others, and treats patients and coworkers with respect.
