About the Opportunity
Walhallow Aboriginal Corporation is seeking two full-time General Practitioners to join our team, one based in Quirindi, NSW and the other in Tamworth, NSW.
As a General Practitioner at WAC, you will play a vital role in delivering primary healthcare services to Aboriginal communities. Reporting to the Practice Manager, you will focus on high-quality clinical care, compliance, and community health initiatives.
About You
To qualify, you will need AHPRA registration and a tertiary qualification in Medicine. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a General Practitioner will also be essential.
Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:
- Relevant post-graduate qualifications (e.g., FRACGP, FACCRM, MPH)
- Accreditation as a GP supervisor with ACCRM or RACGP
- Experience working in Aboriginal Health or community-controlled health services
- Strong knowledge of Aboriginal health, community health, preventative care, chronic disease management, and maternal health
- Knowledge of AGPAL accreditation requirements and Medicare MBS
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships within Aboriginal communities
- A commitment to working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary model alongside nurses and Aboriginal health workers
- A valid Class “C” driver’s licence and the ability to hold relevant security clearances
