Women's Health Connecticut is seeking to hire a Full-time, Medical Receptionist in Trumbull!

Position: Medical Receptionist
Location: Women's Healthcare of Trumbull

Employment Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Schedule: Monday- Friday, 8 hour rotational shifts between 7:30am- 6:00pm
Reports to: Practice Manager

Job Summary: The Medical Receptionist is responsible for greeting and initiating the patient check-in process for all patients to ensure efficient and timely daily office schedules. The Medical Receptionist supports the Front Desk and will also handle a high volume of incoming phone calls while working simultaneously with staff, Providers and patients.

Position duties and responsibilities:

Welcome and greet all patients and visitors
Schedule and confirm patient appointments
Register patients and verify insurance eligibility
Collect payments through various software systems
Utilize phone system, fax machine, printer, copier, and scanner for all office functions
Maintain a clean and organized front office appearance
Other general administrative office duties

Skills/qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Computer proficiency including Microsoft applications.
Exceptional customer service skills.
1 - 2 years of prior experience as a Front Desk Receptionist/Registrar in a medical office setting, is required.
EMR/EHR systems experience, is required.
Ability to multi-task with high attention to detail.
Ability to calmly handle stressful situations.
