Job Summary for Medical Assistant

Winston Staffing has a contract assignment available for an experienced Medical Assistant at and IVF Clinic. In this role, you will provide essential support in both clinical and administrative capacities, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. Phlebotomy needed.

Responsibilities for Medical Assistant

Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures, ensuring a comfortable environment for patients.
Perform routine clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, administering medications, and conducting intake assessments.
Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and ensure timely documentation of patient information.
Support medical administrative functions including scheduling appointments, managing patient inquiries, and coordinating referrals.
Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and answering questions to alleviate concerns.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized clinical environment.
Engage with patients to provide exceptional service and support throughout their healthcare journey.

Requirements

Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
Proficient knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and ICD coding.
Experience in outpatient setting
Strong skills in patient service, including effective communication and empathy towards diverse patient populations.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; additional certifications in emergency medicine or geriatrics are advantageous.
Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for accurate documentation and data management.
Ability to perform clinical tasks such as medication administration, vital sign monitoring and phlebotomy.
