Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse - RN

Full Time | Flexible Schedule | $20,000 Sign On & Relocation Assistance

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Labor & Delivery Nurse to join our dedicated obstetrics team. This is a full-time opportunity at a supportive community hospital committed to high-quality maternal and newborn care.

Duties

Monitor the health status of mothers and newborns throughout labor and delivery.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding the labor process, postpartum care, and newborn care.
Assist in developing individualized care plans based on patient assessments.
Perform necessary medical procedures such as gastric lavage, diagnostic evaluations, and infection control measures.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including those specializing in behavioral health, long-term care, and mammography when necessary.
Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems like Epic.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations during labor and delivery processes.

Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited nursing school (BSN preferred)
Washington or Compact RN license or eligibility to obtain
BLS and ACLS certifications required
NRP and Fetal Monitoring training required or obtainable post-hire
Minimum 1 year of experience in Labor & Delivery required

Competencies

ACLS (AHA Advanced Life Support) certification to be obtained within 6 months of completing L&D training and renewed every 2 years.
NRP (AAP Neonatal Resuscitation Program) is required for all RN’s working labor and delivery and is to be obtained within 6 months of completing L&D training and renewed every 2 years.
AWHONN’s Intermediate Fetal Monitoring course for all L&D RNs is required and must be obtained within 6 months of completing L&D training and renewed every two years. Advanced Fetal Monitoring course will be considered acceptable.
MSE Skills: Competency validation for all labor and delivery RN’s to be completed within six (6) months of L&D training.
RN-C Preferred

Pay: $43.00 - $81.00 per hour
