Juniper Gynecology and Obstetrics in White Rock is looking for a reliable Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to join the specialty practice, working along side the other doctors' MOAs. Training on specific office processes will be provided. We are seeking a candidate that has medical office experience, someone who is reliable and a quick learner with an eye for detail. The candidate should be comfortable with the sensitive processes in a medical office and you are able to provide empathetic patient care.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Scheduling patients for office appointments and surgical procedures (OR booking)
Cleaning patient exam rooms and sterile processing of medical instruments
Maintaining electronic patient files (uploading letters and results)
Answering / triaging patient phone calls
Maintenance of patient confidentiality
May need to explain investigations and test preparation (simple terms) to patients
Efficient use of an EMR, preferably Accuro - training will be provided
Ordering supplies and maintain office supply inventory

REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires an efficient, well-organized, individual with good attention to detail and strong communication skills. It is important is that the candidate is reliable, willing to learn, and a good team member.

Training:

MOA training courses, EMR experience, or on-the-job moa experience are assets, but training about specific office processes will be provided.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 per week
