Role Summary:

The Lab Assistant will provide critical support to the Chief Embryologist and the wider laboratory team. This role ensures smooth daily operations of the IVF laboratory, including preparation, inventory, and quality control. The Lab Assistant will play a key role in supporting embryology workflows, egg bank operations, and partner collaborations.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist Chief Embryologist in daily laboratory operations, including dish preparation and media handling
Maintain laboratory inventory, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of consumables
Support quality control procedures, equipment calibration and maintenance service, and record keeping
Prepare and manage patient paperwork and digital data, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
Coordinate shipment and/or receipt of cryopreserved specimens including biopsied samples, sperms, eggs, embryos, PM test samples and so on
Perform routine laboratory maintenance, cleaning, and compliance checks
Assist in specimen collection and processing under supervision
Uphold laboratory safety protocols and HIPAA/regulatory compliance standard
Other assisted work requested by the Chief Embryologist or Laboratory Director or Medical Director.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences (Biology, Biotechnology, or related field)
Prior laboratory experience (academic or clinical) preferred; IVF or embryology exposure a plus
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced, compliance-heavy environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Electronic Medical Records systems
Flexibility to work occasional weekends/holidays as required by lab operations

Pay: Up to $62,000.00 per year
