About the Role

Fellow is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Associate to join our R&D team. The successful candidate will be integral to our genomics research efforts. The candidate should have technical knowledge and hands-on experience in advanced molecular biology techniques and next generation technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Process seminal fluid samples through seminal plasma preparation to nucleic acid extraction and quantification, enter and track sample information into LIMS.
Support Scientists in research activities in seminal fluid nucleic acid biomarker discovery.
Document experimental procedures and support the writing of new standard operating procedures.
Collect, organize and analyze data and present results at R&D group meetings.
Support the development of new intellectual property for the next generation of products at Fellow.
Perform laboratory maintenance activities such laboratory cleaning and re-stocking.
Collaborate with scientists and bioinformaticians to plan experiments and analyze data.
Execute projects in accordance with company timelines.
Support the development of abstracts, posters and manuscripts associated with the development of novel genomic assays.

Qualifications:

BS in molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics or closely related field with 3+ years’ industry experience, or MS with at least 1 year industry experience.
Hands on molecular biology wet lab experience, including nucleic acid extraction, quantification and fragment size analysis, PCR, RT-qPCR, and ideally NGS workflow from library pep to analysis.
Prior experience working in the area of liquid biopsy is preferred.
Excellent organization and communication skills.
Excellent ability to multitask and troubleshoot problems.
Experience in data analysis, statistics, data interpretation and results reporting.
Intellectual curiosity and a commitment towards self-improvement.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in team-oriented environment.
Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
