About Us:
Core Luxe by Dr. Honey is a dynamic OB-GYN practice in Tarzana offering comprehensive women’s health care and aesthetics. We’re looking for a sharp, experienced medical biller who understands the complexities of OB, GYN, and self-pay aesthetics billing—and is familiar with Allscripts and clearinghouse tools.

What You'll Do:

Review provider documentation and assign CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes
Submit clean claims through Allscripts and our clearinghouse
Ensure correct modifier usage (25, 59, 95, 93)
Verify insurance eligibility and authorization (especially for Regal, Lakeside, Optum)
Monitor aging reports and follow up on denials or underpayments
Manage OB global billing, postpartum tracking, and package codes
Process patient statements, balance bills, and payment plans
Submit and follow up on cash-based aesthetic claims (e.g., EMFEMME, Exion)
Maintain compliance with HIPAA and California billing standards

Qualifications:

2+ years of medical billing experience in OB-GYN or multi-specialty
Strong working knowledge of Allscripts and electronic billing workflows
Familiarity with California payers, especially Medi-Cal, Regal Medical Group, and IPAs
Proven ability to follow up on denials and resubmit corrected claims
Comfortable with OB package billing, global periods, and telehealth CPT rules
Strong communication and documentation skills

Bonus Points for:

Experience billing aesthetics/cash pay services
Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or CMRS credentials

Schedule:

Flexible part-time
Office-based; may consider remote
