Working Full time: 37.5 hours per week
You will contribute and commit to promoting a positive team-based attitude, striving for the highest standards of service in order to deliver excellent l support to the Community Healthy Aged Department and Management Team, being accountable to the Team Leader and Assistant Service Manager.
You will be expected to work with minimal supervision, exercising independent judgement and using your own initiative. This position ensures an excellent level of Data Quality is maintained when dealing with confidential information in a sensitive manner. The role requires you to be aware of patients and staff members.
You will support the Team Leader by undertaking audio transcription and typing of clinic and miscellaneous digital dictation as and when required, whilst ensuring you maintain proficiency and accuracy in the use of medical terminology.
You will participate in the efficient and effective process of distributing correspondence out to all relevant parties.
You will support the department by undertaking the scanning or filing of letters and diagnostic results into patients case notes, following the Health Records Guidelines.
You will participate in the Team’s post rota (for sending external correspondence), contributing to the preparation of letters and the sorting of incoming & outgoing post.
You will assist in the photocopying, faxing and Scanning of any relevant documentation.
You will support the consultants and your team by providing a comprehensive secretarial service.
