We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Band 6 Midwife to join our dedicated maternity team within the Children, Young People and Families Services Directorate. Based at MPH, you will play a vital role in delivering safe, equitable, and personalised maternal and neonatal care across antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal periods. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled midwife who is passionate about promoting choice, advocating for women and birthing people, and ensuring the highest standards of care.
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract with full-time and part-time positions available, offering flexibility to suit your work-life balance. As a Band 6 Midwife, you will work autonomously within professional guidelines, provide leadership and mentorship to colleagues, and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating evidence-based care, supporting physiological birth, and managing complex cases when required. This role also involves participation in the on-call rota and the ability to work across both community and acute settings.
