Position: Ultrasound Sonographer (MSK and Gynae)
Contract Type: Bank Contract
Salary: £65 - £75ph
Location: Enigma Healthcare Ltd, Tarporley, Cheshire
Hours: Flexible, with a minimum commitment of one half-day clinic per week. Clinics are available Monday to Saturday, including evening options.

Our multidisciplinary team includes orthopaedic, cardiology, dermatology, and women’s health consultants and specialists. To support our expanding services, we are seeking an experienced and skilled Ultrasound Sonographer with expertise in Musculoskeletal (MSK) and Gynaecological (Gynae) ultrasound to join our team on a bank contract.
Role Overview
As an Ultrasound Sonographer, you will independently perform MSK and Gynae ultrasound scans and produce high-quality diagnostic reports. You must be comfortable working alone while maintaining the ability to liaise with other sonographers, consultants, and the wider medical team as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MSK and Gynae ultrasound scans independently, ensuring high-quality imaging and accurate reporting.
- Provide clear, concise diagnostic reports to referring clinicians.
- Deliver a professional and compassionate service, prioritising patient comfort and understanding.
- Maintain patient records in compliance with clinic policies and regulatory standards.
- Communicate effectively with the wider team, including sonographers, consultants, and administrative staff.
- Ensure compliance with clinic protocols, regulatory requirements, and best practice guidelines.
- Participate in maintaining high standards of clinical governance, quality, and patient safety.
Requirements
- Postgraduate qualification in Medical Ultrasound or equivalent.
- Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or equivalent.
Experience:
- Proven expertise in performing MSK and Gynae ultrasound scans.
- Current employment in an NHS Trust in a full-time or part-time capacity.
Other:
- Professional indemnity insurance is required.
- Right to work in the UK.
