Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our growing team at a well-established OBGYN practice in Henderson, NV. As an integral part of our healthcare team, you will assist with a variety of clinical and administrative tasks to ensure the best possible care for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and room patients for exams, including obtaining vital signs, medical histories, and assisting with routine procedures.
- Assist the physician during patient exams and minor office procedures.
- Maintain patient records and ensure accurate charting in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Manage patient intake and scheduling, including confirming appointments and follow-up care.
- Administer injections, and other medical treatments as directed.
- Sterilize medical equipment and ensure a clean and organized office environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other staff members.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or similar) preferred.
- Spanish proficiency is a plus
- Previous experience in a medical setting, ideally in an OBGYN or women's health office.
- Proficient in electronic medical record systems (EMR).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
