Position Overview
Seeking a Board-Certified or truly Board-Eligible OB/GYN Physician to provide ongoing 24-hour beeper call coverage. This role offers consistent weekly call and structured weekend rotations, with emergency privileges available for an expedited start. Providers must be within a 30-minute radius during call.
Schedule
- Coverage Needed:
- Every Monday (7a–7a)
- Every 4th weekend (Friday 7a – Monday 7a)
- Weekday Structure:
- 7a–7p: Supervise midwife on call
- 7p–7a: Primary OB/GYN call
- Weekend Structure:
- No midwife coverage on nights/weekends
- Provider is primary on-call for full 24-hour periods
- Call Type: Out-of-house beeper call
- Shift Length: 24-hour call shifts (7a–7a)
Clinical Responsibilities
- Responsible for OB triage, Labor & Delivery, and ED consults
- Manage emergent clinic calls
- Perform:
- Vaginal deliveries (avg. 1–3 per shift)
- C-sections
- VBACs
- Emergent gynecologic surgeries (rare)
- Average 5–10 clinic calls per call shift
- Supervise midwives (weekday daytime hours)
- EMR: EPIC

- Support Staff: 5 midwives (weekday coverage only)
Compensation
- Pay Range: $1,700-$2,000/day
- Overtime available
Requirements
- Board Certified or truly Board Eligible in OB/GYN
- Active Ohio license or IMLC LOQ (required to submit)
- Active DEA
- Minimum 1 year post-training experience
- Ability to respond within 30 minutes during call
