Your Role
As a Registered Midwife you will take time with patients and their families supporting them through every step of their journey to being a parent. Our midwives are dedicated to providing all aspects of pregnancy, birth and postnatal care in our antenatal clinics and services, on our maternity wards and in birth suites, in addition to care for our babies in our special care nurseries.
We offer Midwives who are early in their career or returning to practice, a supportive program to enhance their knowledge and skills as a Midwife. You will also be provided with specialised Midwifery educators that will work alongside you in all areas of the unit.
The Position
Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate patient care, seeking support from senior staff as required.
Promote and contribute to effective communication, facilitating teamwork and cooperation within the ward and within the hospital.
Provide patient education and act as a resource where appropriate.
Support and supervise staff and students as required, including orientating and precepting staff.
Contribute to the achievement of Hospital and Clinical Services operational objectives.
You will have a registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered/Nurse Midwife, a demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and satisfaction, along with well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills.
To succeed you will have an ability to work effectively and harmoniously within the multi-disciplinary health care team, with a commitment to ongoing education and professional development.

We can offer you
Salary: $79,755 to $102.048 per annum plus 12% superannuation
Part-time and casual positions available. There is an opportunity to discuss working 12-hour shifts and preferred shift patterns.
Specific midwifery orientation offering supernumerary time, this includes working with a Lactation Consultant
