Role Overview
The Director of Business Growth will be responsible for driving Glow’s growth acceleration and commercial success. This senior, hands-on leadership role combines strategy, execution, and financial accountability. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments and has a proven track record in scaling consumer health or wellness brands via DTC, retail and distributor channels.
We are looking for a self-starter with lots of ideas for how we can grow Glow; someone who can be a strategic support to the business and will own turning our business goals into a robust strategy and execute on that. From defining that strategy, to sourcing 3rd party agencies, overseeing campaigns, negotiating with distributors, setting budgets, monitoring performance, building & line managing a team, and everything in between; you will build, execute and iterate on a growth and strategy that sets us up for success. In short, you will oversee all things growth for Glow, supported by our founder Ana.
Key Responsibilities
Market Penetration, Omnichannel Growth and International expansion
- Design and execute strategies to drive profitable growth in Spain across DTC, retail, distributors and clinic partnerships.
- Develop and implement go-to-market plans, ensuring consistent brand presence and a seamless customer experience across all touchpoints.
- Set KPIs and track performance for each channel, adjusting strategies based on data and results. Monitor and report key metrics to ensure both growth and profitability.
- Develop strategies to continue expanding retail and pharmacy channels .
- Proactively explore new opportunities in Spain, Europe, and the Middle East that align with budgets and strategy.
- Constantly seek out potential partnerships, channels, or markets to accelerate sustainable growth.
- Negotiate agreements, marketing collaborations, and commercial contracts.
- Oversee DTC online sales, including performance marketing, web conversion optimization, and CRM/email marketing for customer retention.
Financial Oversight
- Own regional revenue, contribution margin, and P&L for Spain & Europe, ensuring alignment with company-wide profitability goals.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics to optimize revenue and efficiency.
- Identify opportunities to improve margin and operational efficiency while scaling the business.
Product Innovation
- Collaborate with internal teams on R&D to prioritize product launches and improvements that drive growth.
- Provide commercial insights to ensure the product portfolio remains competitive and relevant in Spain and EMEA.
Compliance & Regulation
- Ensure all products meet national and international regulatory requirements for hormonal wellness and health products.
Team Leadership
- Lead, motivate, and develop internal teams and external partners (labs, distributors) to meet commercial and strategic goals.
- Foster a culture of accountability, agility, and collaboration, aligned with Glow’s startup mindset.
Reporting & Analytics
- Establish systems for monthly reporting and performance analysis across channels and markets.
- Report directly to the CEO with insights, improvement plans, and action recommendations.
Candidate Profile
- Experience of early stages flat structures
- 7+ years of experience in commercial, revenue, or business leadership roles in consumer health, wellness, or beauty startups.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate findings into strategic recommendations.
- Proven experience scaling DTC brands and executing omnichannel strategies in fast-paced environments.
- Deep understanding of the Spanish market and European retail/digital ecosystem.
- Strong financial literacy with demonstrated P&L ownership and budget management.
- Data-driven and strategic, with hands-on execution skills.
- Fluent in Spanish and English; additional European languages are a plus.
- Passion for women’s health, wellness, and mission-driven brands.
