We are seeking a dedicated professional to lead our maternity care team and ensure the delivery of top-notch, patient-focused services during nighttime shifts. You'll be instrumental in guiding and enhancing nursing practices, acting as a vital resource for team members. This role involves welcoming new patients, facilitating discharges, and ensuring seamless care continuity alongside our management team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently manage the flow of patient admissions and discharges to maintain high-quality care.
- Collaborate with management to continuously assess and enhance the caliber of services delivered.
- Foster a collaborative atmosphere by working closely with experts and leaders to boost teamwork and outcomes.
- Prioritize patient satisfaction and implement service recovery when required.
- Drive the facility's engagement efforts by rolling out current nursing strategies including periodic staff rounds and more.
- Advise on interviewing and training new employees while contributing to strategies like staff training, conflict resolution, performance evaluations, and compliance.
- Assist in staffing schedules and ensure labor allocation aligns with patient needs and productivity standards.
- Monitor and manage inventory and equipment to support the delivery of care.
Required Qualifications:
- Obtain Advanced Cardiac Life Support within a year of joining.
- Complete Basic Cardiac Life Support within the first 30 days.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse.
- Hold an Associate Degree.
- Have at least two years of experience as a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse.
- Leadership experience in Women's Health, Labor & Delivery, NICU, or Mother-Baby Units is necessary.
Preferred candidates will be experienced in supervising and managing staff during night shifts, addressing staffing needs, assisting in delivery, and performing surgical scrubbing duties when needed.
