Job Title: Nurse Coordinator - GYN Oncology
Location: Sinai Hospital (with some travel to Frederick and Carroll County)
Sinai Hospital is seeking a dedicated Nurse Coordinator to join our dynamic GYN Oncology team. In this collaborative role, you will ensure high-quality clinical services and patient care operations while supporting nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals. This position requires someone with excellent leadership, communication, and clinical skills, who can manage patient care processes efficiently while providing educational guidance to staff and patients.
Collaborative Care: Work as an integral part of the clinical team to ensure the efficient delivery of patient care.
Patient & Staff Education: Develop, implement, and present ongoing educational programs for staff and patients. Utilize the nursing process to enhance patient care and improve outcomes.
Clinical Guidance & Preceptorship: Serve as a clinical resource to nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare team members. Oversee the onboarding process for new staff and assign preceptors for training.
Leadership & Oversight: Monitor the work of designated staff and ensure quality care delivery. Participate in assignments and provide clinical guidance when needed.
Patient Flow Management: Work closely with the Diabetes Resource Center (DRC) to optimize patient flow, ensuring the proper utilization of patient templates and maximizing efficiency.
Compliance & Accreditation: Maintain good standing and ensure accreditation with The American Diabetes Association (ADA) for the Diabetes Resource Center.
Team Collaboration: Attend divisional meetings and advisory committee meetings, actively contributing to the team’s goals and decision-making processes.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
Licenses & Certifications: Current Maryland Board of Nursing (MBON) RN license and American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Experience: Prior experience in oncology, women’s health, or a similar clinical setting is preferred.
Travel: Must be comfortable with some travel to Frederick and Carroll County for patient care.
