Job Summary
The Liver Research team at the Institute of Liver Studies in Kings College Hospital has an extensive portfolio covering a range of studies from observational cohort studies to interventional (phase 1-4) trials for liver diseases such as Hepatitis and MASLD; and has developed a reputation for excellence in research delivery. An opportunity has arisen for a band 4 research assistant to join the team as a fixed term contract basis for 12 months.
You will be part of the team of liver research nurses and co-ordinators working to deliver the non-commercial and commercial trials within the portfolio, in accordance with the principles of GCP. This will include important trials with an international profile in liver diseases that are both challenging and interesting. There are also important collaborations with various academic researchers involved in key scientific projects looking to significantly impact the future management of patients with all variety of liver diseases.

The Liver Clinical Trials team at King's College Hospital are inviting applications for a research assistant to work alongside the clinical trials team on an exciting portfolio of commercially funded and investigator led studies in liver diseases.
Sample processing is an integral part of trials; and is a key aspect of our service delivery; with the success of all our early phase studies dependant on the quality and accuracy of the samples obtained. The successful candidate will be expected to appropriately manage all aspects of our laboratory processes, which include management of patients as per protocol requirements for sample collection including PBMC processing; and management of the resources required to undertake the role properly. Closely supervised by the lead nurses and the senior lab colleagues, you will interact with all relevant nurses and data management team.
Excellent communication skills and willingness to learn are essential qualities in the successful applicant. For this post you must demonstrate the ability to manage your own workload; understand clinical trial activity and GCP, and be able to complete trial documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
