**Position Overview:**
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our patients, assisting our healthcare providers, and ensuring the smooth operation of our office.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Assist in patient intake, including taking medical histories and recording vital signs.
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring their comfort and privacy.
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations and medical procedures.
- Perform basic lab tests and assist with specimen collection.
- Schedule appointments, manage patient communications, and handle follow-up calls.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide education and support to patients regarding their health, treatments, and follow-up care.
- Manage inventory of medical supplies and ensure the cleanliness of exam rooms.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to enhance patient care and office efficiency.
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) is desirable.
- Previous experience in an obstetrics and gynecology office or a similar healthcare setting is a plus.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures related to women's health.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic office software.
